Windshield, windscreen… whatever you call it it keeps the bugs out of your teeth.
I ordered a windshield from Rovers North. First thing, don’t expect this to arrive quickly. The glass is made in Türkiye (Turkey) by Doraglass.
It is then sent to AllMakes4x4 and from there it is sent to Rovers North.
Somewhere in there Rovers North puts a ProLine label on it too.
Not sure where “Made in China (CN)” comes into play since the glass is made in Türkiye.
Anyway, the glass (spoiler alert) arrived broken.
Yeah… that’s disappointing. Now before you say, “Just install it like that.” I hired a professional installer and he said it would spider and windup being worse than what I have. Looking online supports this assertion. The corner has a lot of pressure on it. I’m wondering if since the windshield is in a rubber seal if that is slightly different.
I also asked, “Why don’t we just fill all the cracks with windshield glue stuff?” He was not confident in that solution either.
I contacted Rovers North and told them what happened. Erik was quick to ask for pictures and to provide a refund. Which I have already received. Erik was great through this whole process. My original shipping location did not workout and he was quick to get the delivery back to the depot where I picked it up.
If you don’t have a commercial site, with a forklift, and a dock that an average over the road trucker can get a 40 foot trailer in… just have them leave it at the shipping depot. Delivery to a commercial site is $185(US) cheaper to ship to. My delivery was 111 pounds (50.3488 kilograms). This is a crate and the glass. Since it is over 100 pounds, the driver will not assist with the unloading. Another pro tip, make sure you understand the shipping insurance and who pays what if the windshield arrives broken. Rovers North took care of me, I don’t know if any other vendor would be as good.

Why order from Rovers North? They had one listed. Atlantic British did not. I had two professionals look for the windshield. Scott looked in warehouses in Dallas, Kansas City, Wichita, and another city in Texas he couldn’t remember. They aren’t sitting on the shelves of any glass warehouses in my region.
Would you order another windshield? Yes, but, the other windshields I saw online started at $1200(US) plus shipping. I only spent $795(US) with Rovers North.
What are you doing next? Scott is going to come back out and polish my OEM windshield. This windshield has 280,000 miles of rocks, sand, giant grasshoppers, 300 million mosquitos, at least two birds, and who knows what else. So yeah, it looks like someone sandblasted it. I don’t have much hope for the polish, but I’m going to see if it helps.
